HY-AIR

Hydraulic Power System is a 3 stage pump designed to reduce cycle time and improved productivity. A compact design with a one or two gallon reservoir alleviates weight restrictions and offers the operator efficient mobility. Simple controls make for short set-up times and with the semi-automatic feature, the operators will experience faster and easier tightening.

  • Troubleshooting Open or Close
    Prior to operating the pump, a visual inspection shoul be done. The visual inspection should include.
    1. Cracked, bent, or damaged couplers.
    2. Gauge is properly connected.
    3. Remote assembly is free of cuts, nicks and damage.
    4. The air source air line is ½” I.D. minimum.
    5. The air source fitting is 3/8” I.D. minimum.
    6. Air source requirements 100 PSI @ 50 CFM.
    7. FRL gauge is set at 100 PSI (7 BAR).
    8. The reservoir is filled with oil.
    The HY-AIR / HY-AIR-2 pumps are designed with a 3 stage pumping unit. To confirm the pump is operating correctly.
    1. Cracked, bent, or damaged couplers.
    2. Gauge is properly connected.
    3. Remote assembly is free of cuts, nicks and damage.
    4. The air source air line is ½” I.D. minimum.
    5. The air source fitting is 3/8” I.D. minimum.
    6. Air source requirements 100 PSI @ 50 CFM.
    7. FRL gauge is set at 100 PSI (7 BAR).
    8. The reservoir is filled with oil.
    Pump does not shift at the first shift point.
    1. Replace low cut off valve and adjust to 70 BAR.
    Pump does not shift at the second shift point.
    1. Replace middle cut off valve and adjust to 280 BAR.
    Pump does not build pressure.
    1. No oil in the reservoir.
    2. Gauge is not properly connected.
    3. First stage pump shaft key is sheared/damaged.
    4. Damaged first stage pump assembly.
    Pump will not turn off.
    1. Test air pressure from remote line #2 at the ON/OFF air valve in the ADVANCE position.
      • If there is air pressure through remote air line #2. Replace ON/OFF air valve.
      • If there is no air pressure through remote air line #2. Issue with remote assembly.
    Pump does not build 10,000 PSI in the ADVANCE position.
    1. Make sure pump shifts at both shift points.
    2. Loose oil lines and/or fittings.
    3. Faulty pressure regulator (torque valve).
    4. Faulty solenoid valve assembly.
    5. Worn high pressure relief valve (max pressure valve).
    6. Damaged piston pump seals.
    7. Damaged/worn piston pumps.
    8. Faulty air motor.
    9. First stage pump assembly issue.
    Solenoid does not operate.
    1. Test air pressure from remote line #3 at the solenoid air valve in the ADVANCE position.
      • If there is air pressure through remote air line #3. Replace solenoid air valve.
      • If there is no air pressure through remote air line #3. Issue with remote assembly.
